Subject: Ten Best Practices for LinkedIn

As requested by Lesson 2:2, I would like to share my investigation results of the 10 best practices with the team.

  1. Complete the profile – Make sure you explain your position, experience, skills, and accomplishment in a way suitable to the target audience.
  2. Use a suitable real photo – Make sure the photo shows your face clearly and gives a good first impression
  3. Showcase your skills – Listing your skills can tell employers and recruiters what you are good at
  4. Announce your eligible status – Adding the words similar to “Seeking New Challenge” in the LinkedIn headline can tell the recruiters you’re on the market
  5. Keep your profile up to date – An outdated profile will make people confused
  6. Keep your posts in good quality – Make sure every article is beneficial to your network
  7. Recommend and get recommended actively – Recommending others is also a good way to get recommended.
  8. Customize profile URL – A clean and crisp URL in your resume can make your profile memorable
  9. Create meaningful connections network – Connect with people you regularly interact with instead of connecting to everyone you’ve ever met
  10. Create a network of your sites – Adding the URL to your external blogs of sites can show yourself outside the professional network

Overall, LinkedIn is a usefully professional networking website which helps us get new opportunities. We should keep our profile there in high quality and use it smartly. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions related to my tips.
