Hello Morgan,

Thank you for submitting your profile. You created a polished profile with good organization and completeness. The following review has some suggestions about your LinkedIn profile.

First impression

The first detail that stands out in your profile is the preciseness of described work and volunteer experience with circumstantial descriptions in both sections. It gives your profile a great level of credibility and at the same time show your reach background. The profile contains all main sections, which makes it inviting for potential employers.

Profile and Background Picture, Title Box

The main profile photo is quite likable, but:

  • it seems that the photo was made by yourself. Making a professional photo with an adequate framing would make your profile even more outstanding.

Also, please note that there is a noticeable color discrepancy between two photos (background photo is more bright and colorful). It would be reasonable if the additional photo does not attract more attention than your profile photo.

Title box is precise and accurately describes your current occupation and responsibilities.

Summary

A laconic summary is always easy and pleasant to read. It clearly shows your career goals and passions, however:

  • pointing out to more details would be beneficial for Linkedin profile:
    • describing your educational background as a prerequisite for your abundant work experience;
    • describing current projects that you are pursuing.

Work and volunteer experience

The profundity and abundance of these sections is really striking. You thoroughly described all your experiences, which are directly related to your current job and all these give weighty fidelity in employers` eyes.

Education and Courses

You mentioned just one affiliation with the University of British Columbia. It would be worthy to mentioned colleges in this section if it is applicable. Also, I assume that you have taken some courses to improve your career skills, listing relevant courses will increase the credibility of the profile.

Skills, Accomplishments, and Interests

You showed an abundant number of skills: personal, professional with mentioning knowledge of specific tools and technologies. All skills are well career-oriented and keyword-formed.

Connections

Great number of connections, despite such a short period after creating the profile. Please note:

  • involving in relevant professional groups and associations will increase the career communication level and help you to be aware of the current situation at the job market.

Grammar and spelling accuracy

The profile is thoroughly checked for grammar errors and misspellings. The language is professional and tone is readable.

Conclusion

Overall, you created an attractive and credible profile for prospective employers. With some minor edits and refinements, your profile will look even more elaborated.

Just to summarize my suggestions, I provide this list for you:

  • Improving the profile and background photos.
  • Expanding the summary by mentioning educational background, ongoing projects.
  • Involving in related groups and associations.

I really enjoyed reviewing your profile and hope this review will be beneficial. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. You can reach me out at tshyp@alumni.ubc.ca.

Than you,

Taras Shyp.
