Subject: Peer review of writing with you-attitude assignment

Hi Erfan,

Attached below you will find my peer review of the email you sent to Evan Crisp in regards to communicating in a professional manner on emails.

First impressions

Your memo to Evan Crisp was both organized and precise as you clearly stated both the strength and weaknesses of Evan’s email. You also demonstrated that you have a strong understanding of the you-attitude form of writing through the suggestions you gave to Evan.

Overall the email was structured nicely, with all of the suggestions stated separated by bullet points so it easy for the reader to distinguish each suggestions. The title section for the suggestions section was also a nice touch as it distinguishes that section from both the intro and concluding comments.

Introduction was short and to the point as you were able to quickly explain who you were as well as the intention behind the email.

The suggestions that you recommended were extremely helpful as you were able to cover the majority of flaws that Evan has in his original email. You also did a good job at presenting example solutions to the suggestions that you made so that Evan could better understand what you are trying to convey.

Grammar and Spelling

There were no major or minor grammatical or spelling errors.

Conclusion comments

Overall your email memo to Evan was exceptionally well done as you highlighted the majority of flaws that were originally present in Evan’s email. I hope the suggestions I stated will be useful for you the next time you work on a similar assignment. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at

Best wishes,

Eric Chang
