Forest Fragmentation and Regrowth in Nepal – by Daniel, Chengyi, and Gary

The paper Daniel, Chengyi and Gary presented upon dealt with reforestation efforts and the effects that deforestation has on the steep Nepalese landscape. The paper contained a lot of information and many variables: deforestation and forest fragmentation has been a serious problem in Nepal for decades. However, the students found the report only barely satisfactory. The maps included in the report were sub-par, and the report itself was poorly written. It could have benefitted from a greater GIS involvement and a more experienced cartographer in charge of producing the maps.
