A Case Study of Chinese Bracket: Function vs. Ornament
Inspired by the precedent of Chinese bracket, Dougong, the sculpture focuses the transition from being functional at the bottom by using bracket supporting the cantilever to ornamental at the top by extruding the cantilever, inverting the bracket and cantilever, and supporting the nothingness.
