3 M’s to Exam Success

Each student has their own set of studying tips in order to obtain successful grades. Some may choose to cram, some may choose to spread out their studying. Different studying techniques will ultimately determine the amount of stress one experiences and the status of one’s mental health. Here are 3 M’s that may help students slow down and focus during exam season.

1.) Missing out: In a world where technology is so prevalent, it can be hard for us to put down our phones or stop watching youtube. However, let’s face it. Putting your phone away will not cause you to miss much in terms of social media.

2.) Monotasking: Our modern society takes pride in our ability to multitask. However, psychologists have found that multitasking (working on two tasks at once or switching between two tasks) effectively decreases productivity.

3.) Meditate: There are various meditation styles. This ranges from routine meditation alone in a bedroom to the meditation encouraged during yoga. The goal of meditation is to clear bothersome thoughts and allow for a fresh start.

Although these 3 M’s may not be the key to exam success, it may certainly be the start to a more focused approach to studying!
