The Woodhaven Eco Culture Centre is managed by The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies. It is located in the Mission area of Kelowna, British Columbia. The Centre has a main floor apartment and a studio suite, as well as several outbuildings for studio work or workshops.

During the academic year, the main floor apartment is rented to a graduate student in FCCS. In the summer months, the main floor apartment is available for short-term rentals for individual scholars and artists or the apartments can be rented for a group for collaborations or small workshop events. The apartment is fully-furnished, with laundry facilities and full kitchens. our studio suit is available for short-term use throughout the year. See below for details.

Main House Ground Floor (May- August only. Residents are responsible for their own cleaning and laundry while in residence.) Two bedrooms or one bedroom and an office, fully furnished, private entrance, large kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, washer and dryer, a bathroom, living room, wireless Internet, parking, patio, linens, dishes. CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Outdoor Day Use: (April – October only) Includes access to the 8 acre site, an outbuilding studio with electricity, tables and folding chair seating for between 15 – 20 people. Use of one apartment for kitchen and bathroom, if needed.

Visiting Artist and Scholars Studio (available short term only, throughout the year) We welcome applications to stay in the Visiting Artist/ Scholar Studio apartment. It is a small bachelor suite, ideal for academics or artists looking for a quiet retreat to write and or work on projects for a few days or a week. The apartment has a private bathroom and private entrance. It contains a double bed and a well-stocked galley kitchen with fridge and microwave. The kitchen comes with basic utensils and appliances such as kettle, teapot, coffee maker, toaster, rice-maker, small grill, and basic dishes and cutlery. The living space contains a kitchen table overlooking the garden and woods through large windows, two easy chairs and a footstool, reading lamp, and side tables. The suite has a large private deck. There is also wireless Internet access and parking. All linens are provided. Visitors bring their own food.
