Common name: Small-flowered paintbrush
Family: Orobanchaceae
Information: Grows at subalpine to alpine elevations in meadows and heaths, streamside environments. Species of this genus are partly parasitic on roots of other plants (Pojar & MacKinnon 2014). Flowers are actually leafy bracts surrounding flowers and may vary in color from crimson to lighter, salmon color.
