Habitat

Tritomaria quinquedentata may be found on logs, rocks, humus, and the earth of humid sites.

Gametophyte

Overall Structure:

Tritomaria quinquedentata shoots are green.  The lateral leaves are unequally tri-lobed and succubously inserted.  There are no underleaves.

Rhizoids are located ventrally and are unicellular and smooth.
