A project component of the course allows students to pursue their own interests in the bryological world and develop skills.  Some students develop learning activities for university or elementary/secondary level instruction accompanied with teacher’s guides. Other projects include scanning electron microscopy, ecological studies, experiments, interactive games, guides to walks in trails (Stanley Park, Pacific Spirit Park) and gardens (Nitobe).Gardens).
