Short Description: Landslides / debris flows at UBC

Long Description: Landslides on the sandy cliffs on the western edge of UBC’s campus are normal, frequent and unpredictable. These do not threaten existing infrastructure but the area is heavily used and there have been fatalities. These are normal, but some people are speculating whether their behavior is being affected by onging modifications to the local area’s groundwater regime.
