WOOD DESIGN RESEARCH

This research looks at new possibilities for how we design in wood using advanced parametric design and robotic fabrication methods and how we reuse wood in buildings. Wood is not only the most sustainable building material, but also a natural partner for advanced digital design due to its ease of milling and fabrication. Industrial robots provide maximum freedom for assembly and milling. The research is conducted through demonstration pavilions, design-build courses, publications, and symposia.
