ISW Spot Available – Summer 2025 LFS TA Training Program

Standard

Hello LFS TAs!

My name is Celeste Bouchaud and I would like to introduce myself as your new TA Training Coordinator! Steven will be staying on as TA Coordinator with myself, a huge thank you to Lexis Ly who has now graduated from her PhD and officially ended her position as TA Training Coordinator this month!

The LFS TA Training Program has two spots available to sponsor an LFS graduate student to participate in the Instructional Skills Workshop hosted by UBC CTLT (Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology) during Summer 2025.

The three-day ISWs are 24-hour professional development sessions designed for graduate students interested in developing and enhancing their instructional skills. It caters to individuals new at teaching as well as those who wish to refresh and enhance their skills.

There are multiple sessions for the workshop over the next few months:
– June 16, 18, 20, 2025 (In-person)
– July 5, 12 & 13, 2025 (In-person)
– July 15, 19, 20 & 26, 2025 (Online)
– July 19, 26 & 27, 2025 (In-person)
– August 2, 9 & 10 (In-person)

Please email myself (celeste.bouchaud@ubc.ca) or Steven (sbristow@student.ubc.ca) if you are interested in one of these spots with your preferences for dates or if you have any questions!

Please also let us know if you would like to be placed on the waitlist for future ISW spots in future semesters if you are not able to do the ISW at this time.
