Information: “Common in open meadows in wet places and banks of water channels in the northern areas of Pakistan and Kashmir, where rainfall is scant. Found between 3000 to 5000 m. … closely related to Potentilla ornithopoda Tausch. in its 2 to 3 pinnate leaves, deeply dissected leaflets and glandulose sepals but differs in having leaflets with 2 to 4 pairs of segments which are 0.9 to 1.8 cm long, oblong-linear, obtuse and very slender. Potentilla ornithopoda Tausch. has 5 to 10 pairs of segments in a leaflet, which are 5 to long, oblong-ovate, acute and coriaceous.” (quoted from MBG 2021)
