Peer Review: Research Proposal for Streamlining Communication Channels at ACC

Thank you for submitting your proposal as part of the 2:1 assignment. The topic presented is informative and enjoyable to read. The subject of streamlining communication channels is an important subject for companies of various sizes to consider. If your proposal is successfully implemented, it could serve as a case study for other companies looking to improve their formal communication. Please see the review of the proposal below with suggestions for improvements, which hopefully can be of some use.

First Impressions:

I found the initial reading of your proposal well-organized and comprehensive. The scope and methods of your proposed solution was clear, and it was clear that you have the expertise and personal connections that would qualify you to streamline communications for ACC Limited.

Content:

The document has all the necessary components of a research proposal: Introduction, Statement of Problem, Proposed Solution, Scope, Methods, Qualifications, and Conclusion.

-Introduction: Good background information on ACC Limited. Could potentially include a section explaining why this company is of interest to you, or how you have involved with them in the past.

-Statement of the Problem: Easy to understand, provided good examples of when having a variety of communication channels may be a problem.

-Proposed Solutions: Gives a good understanding of what you are proposing to implement

-Scope: Includes a comprehensive list of potential research questions.

-Methods: Clearly identifies the subjects you will be collecting data from. Could potentially be more specific in terms of the surveys, are they going to be sent out online? Or will they be conducted in person?

-Qualifications: Similar to the introduction, could be strengthened by including how you’ve been involved with the company in the past, and how you have connected with those individuals before.

-Conclusion: Seems a little bit broad, could try highlighting the priorities of your future project and where you will get started.

Organization:

Spacing is well adjusted and uniform throughout the documents. Could think about adding numbering to the questions in “Scope” section to conform with research proposal template. This is more of a stylistic choice.

Expression:

Overall, the expression through the proposal is concise and easy to understand.

Grammar:

There are a couple instances that can easily be fixed. For example:

“For daily verbal communication, mobile calls are employed” is missing punctuation at the end.

“Making it difficult to know which notification or apps to pay attention to” isn’t a complete sentence.

Concluding Remarks:

The document shows insight to your expertise of the issue. The research conducted could drastically help improve the efficiency of the company and resolve several potential communication issues. With the following edits, this will be an even better document.

-Provide additional background information about your experience with the company

-Adjust grammar

-Specify in your conclusion the priorities for your research

It has been a pleasure helping to review this proposal. If you have any questions about the suggestions, please reach out to me!
