SUBJECT:     Peer Review of Assignment 2:1 Research Proposal

 

Thank you for the effort that it takes to post the research proposal for lesson 2:1, which is an especially useful and meaningful project proposal to benefit the society. Please see the review of your proposal below as it may provide you some positive suggestions to have further cultivation on writing skills.

 

First Impressions:

This is a very well-organized proposal and provides a clear goal of assisting the non-profit organizations like CDIRCS. The overall strategy has been expressed from the introduction to the conclusion as a straightforward guideline for the research project.

 

Organization:

  • The overall document is well-structured and formatted as the sample proposal provided on the textbook, which is clear and easy to read.
  • Sub-bullet points for the detailed inquiries are extremely helpful to arrange the scope of study in an effective mean.
  • Essential elements for prepare the research are completely included as they displayed as sub-titles.

 

Comments on Contents:

  • Contents divided into different categories which is able to reflect to the corresponding sub-titles.
  • Introduction: Good opening for the proposal by providing close related background information. Considering writing a more extensive introduction, causes of problem can be briefly introduced in this section.
  • Statement of Problem: Very well-defining the major problems. By connecting the daily operation of the centre to the specific condition that brought by the COVID-19, issues have become much more visible.
  • Proposed Solution: Solutions are feasible aiming to solve to problems. However, the ideas provided in this section can be more abundant and detailed related to such a wide-spread issue. Such as what type of information would be recommended to post on the social media? What would be the timing and schedule to post them? How this information can attract the public sight?
  • Scope: Problems that needs to be solved in the research is clear listed from general to detail. Questions can be flexibly discussed.
  • Methods: Effective methods by combining the primary and secondary source of research.
  • My Qualifications: Previous experience provides reliable support and shows the qualification to the research.
  • Conclusion: Provides the potential benefits to the community from the research, which is taking as a sure-enough evidence to encourage the approval.
  • The major topic of the research can be seen hovering through the content.

 

Expression:

  • The proposal is being expressed in a self-consistent language, which makes the problem clarify and gives a reasonable solution.
  • Sentences are concise and clear to demonstrate the opinions.

 

Grammar and Typos:

  • Grammar and typos are look smoothly and without significant errors.

 

Concluding Comments:

The proposal has provided an excellent support to the upcoming research project. It shows a clear strategy to carry out the whole researching process to audience.

Major suggestion from the review are concluded as below:

  • Major problems which are aiming to be solved should be stated within the introduction.
  • Solutions for the research can be wider discussed and more abundant.
  • Grammar and typos could be double check to see if any further improvements can be done on expression.
