Summer Tuition Fee Deferrals for TAs and RAs

Attention: TA and RA students!

Subject: Summer Tuition fee Deferrals for Teaching and Research Assistants

Summer session Deferrals

The online deferral application will be open from March 1st to April 30th for Graduate students employed as Teaching or Research Assistants.  The deferral is intended for students that do not have funds available to pay their tuition fees by the due date and are relying on their stipend to make payment.  Students must submit a copy of their workday compensation screenshot.

Click profile at the top right corner, and click ‘compensation’. It will display the end date of their current appointment.

The link to the application can be found on the Student Services website under Other Payment Options:

Online application periods are:

  • Summer session:           March 1 – April 30
  • Winter Term 1: July 15 – August 31
  • Winter Term 2:              November 1 – December 31

Tuition and student fees will be deferred as follows:

  • Summer Term 1: due date June 30th
  • Winter Term 1: due date Nov 30th
  • Winter Term 2: due date March 31th

Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award – Open for Nomination

Calling all nominations for the Killam Teaching Assistant Award!

The Killam Teaching Assistant Award is awarded to an outstanding Teaching Assistant who has demonstrated ongoing dedication to and improvement in teaching. A Graduate TA in LFS will be selected.

The nomination deadline is February 9, and all supporting documents must be submitted by March 1, 2024.
