Hello LFS TAs,
Happy Monday! We would like to welcome everyone to attend a ‘Returning to In-Person Teaching‘ workshop happening this Thursday (the 17th) from 11:00-12:00 in MCML 258.
This workshop will go over some different teaching strategies to promote student participation as you transition from online to in-person spaces. It will also help identify some strategies for TAs to help mediate non-compliance of COVID-19 policies in classroom spaces, and other behavioural disruptions that previous TAs have had to address with in-person teaching. This workshop will go over topics that are relevant for TAs who are completely new to in-person teaching and those who have taught in-person prior to COVID-19. All experience levels are welcomed!
To help keep everyone safe, we will follow all UBC COVID-19 procedures for distancing, mask wearing and sanitizing of indoor spaces. To help us set up the room, please RSVP using the Qualtrics link below:
We will provide coffee and donuts at the end of the session that can be taken to go. (Yay!)
For any folks who would like to attend but can not make it onsite, we will live stream the workshop.
