Just wanted to let you know about this exciting event – the UBC Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) will be hosting the annual Graduate Students in Teaching (GSiT) Conference virtually on May 10 & 11, 2022. This virtual conference is an opportunity for graduate students to discuss and explore their present and future roles in teaching and is free for UBC students. The registration for the Conference is now open and graduate studentsTAs and postdocs can register for the conference here.

TA Needs Assessment (Chance to Win a Coffee Card!)

Hello LFS TAs,

Hope you all had a great 2021-22 winter session! We would like to invite past, current and future TAs to share with us your experience and/or expectations of being a TA, and your needs to function as a TA. It will greatly help us evaluate the effectiveness of the current program and identify potential approaches to improve the program in the future.

This survey takes about 10-15 min to complete. At the end of the survey, you will have the option to enter a prize draw for one of three $5 coffee cards. Please note that this survey is meant to be anonymous, we ask for your email address only for contacting you in case you win the prize, but it won’t be used to identify your responses.
