Can you believe we’re coming to the end of the term?! Shocking, I know. I have so many stories to tell of the past few weeks and so little time to blog about it. I promise, I will actually sit down this week and write my heart out to make up for the sparse updates.
Allow me to get a little ahead of myself right now. So far I have my summer planned out
- 12 credits of intermediate heritage Chinese: about 16 hours a week, fun stuff! I really want to communicate with style with my grandparents and shilling out $1500 for summer courses may just be worth it (did I say $1500? Crap, that’s a lot of money)
- A parttime job that’s technology/finance oriented
- Event planning for the year for International Business Club <3
- Travel somewhere, anywhere
- Finish the novel I’m working on blog lol, it’s easier
QOTW: As we approach la fin de l’année, what wonderful, exciting, exotic plans do YOU have for the summer?
I think it would have been a cuter title if it were “Enfin, La Fin!”
Nevertheless, good on you for learning the Chinese! It’ll be useful in the future.
Cheerio!
Classes, work, life!
Summer classes, work, volunteering, sun. The beach. Reading for fun. =)
Justin I took your advice, thanks!
Wow that Chinese class sounds intensive. So do you live with your grandparents?
Suggestion for traveling, if you want to save money and be home just in time for dinner, there’s lots of regional parks in Metro Vancouver you can get to by UPass for nice daytrips.
QOTW: work, class, planning, etc
Co-op placement, learning Italian, learning other stuff, exploring, hanging out with friends, and heading back to Hong Kong at the very end — oh yes, this is going to be a good summer!
What? you can take non-heritage chinese? But you’re… Phoebe YU.
@Mimz – Oops, good catch there.
good luck with chinese phoebes, it’s brutal enough without all the super advanced rushed stuff 😛
xD i was actually hoping that heritage students had a choice to take non-heritage courses. im afraid my chinese won’t hit heritage level.
Call me a crackhead. hahah I must have been on crack the other day because I was trying to register into 100 level Chinese but ended up in 200 level Chinese because 100 level is full (Yeah, I know, what kind of logic is that?!) Anyways, glad to know we’ll be in the same class! 🙂
