Welcome to Text, Technology and Learning.
This location will be a collection of learning done through the MET program course ETEC 540: Text and Technology
I have recently investigated and gathered information about the changes in thinking, teaching and learning that occurred when rote learning moved to learning with meaning. The tools and technologies used for rote learning were individual slate chalkboards and larger, classroom wall mounted chalkboards. The tools and technologies used for meaningful learning include loose leaf paper, personal notebooks, graphite pencils and fountain pens. The tools available determined the type of learning possible. This learning thus influenced the form of thinking, remembering and teaching.
