I decided to explore the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Art Project: http://www.googleartproject.com/collection/art-gallery-of-ontario/
This is an online meta-gallery connecting you to collections from around the world. It’s not necessary to have a gmail account to navigate the site, but it is required if you want to create your own user gallery, and more social media options are available to you if you do. If you want to create your own gallery, you begin by searching through the individual museum links or through the tabs for Collections, Artists, Artworks or User galleries. Experiment with each of the functions and you’ll see just how easy it is to collect pieces, get information on them, and zoom in to see details. See if you like Museum View by clicking on the yellow human-shaped icon. Happy exploration!
