Marketing opportunities with deadlines in March

Lately we’ve been hearing about a number of ways to get some valuable, hands-on practice of your marketing skills. Remember to check out these two opportunities! Note: both have very close deadlines, so if you’re interested, don’t delay.

  • Brand Management Mentorship Program

Tim Silk, Assistant Professor in the Marketing division, and  3rd-year BCom student, Kelsey, visited our classes on Wednesday to tell us about the Brand Management Mentorship Program for students finishing 2nd or 3rd year. There is an Info Session on Thursday, March 14, 5-6:30 pm in HA 491, for which you can sign up in COOL. The application deadline for this program is Monday, March 25, 2 pm sharp, and application instructions can be found on COOL. Full program info is available at sauder.ubc.ca/bmmp.

  •  Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC)

Dan Gardiner, Senior Instructor in the Marketing division, asked me to remind you that Sauder is seeking two 2nd-year or 3rd-year Marketing students to represent the school at Queen’s University’s ICBC case competition in Kingston, ON, in January 2014. Apply as a team before March 15, 2013, so tryouts can begin. Application forms can be found outside Dan’s office (HA 562), or contact Dan for further details at daniel.gardiner@sauder.ubc.ca.
