Thank you for submitting your LinkedIn profile for review. In the context of ENGL 301 and the continuous objective of bettering our professional eligibility, I have provided some feedback below. This is based on the URL you have provided here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthew-shen-00553b53/

First Impressions

The profile shared is clearly structured, organized and very neat. Everything is in its place and it has been clearly honed to the intended field of work.

Visuals

The profile picture showcases your face clearly and the professional outfit reflects the decorum expected from financial environments. Two recommendations may elevate the quality of the profile. First, taking the picture somewhere where there is a natural background may heighten approachability, since a white background resembles a passport picture which is a rigid picture by nature. Second, a cover photo will display that you went the extra mile to personalize your profile. Keeping the default cover will not distinguish it from others.

Summary

The summary achieves many of the targets of successful profile planning. An overview of professional skills and interests as well as personal interests is included to provide the viewer with a rounded impression. This section might benefit from more depth into professional goals. Additional learning is a good target to set, but outlining prospective careers or responsibilities may explicitly clarify intent.

Experience

The education and work experience mirror the targets laid out in the summary. There is a sense of cohesion that is well reflected here. The volunteer experience is ordered in a strange fashion. Is there a reason that some of the more recent volunteering is hidden under volunteering that ended in 2016? A little reordering may facilitate the flow.

Engagement

This section is well developed. With over 500 connections and recent recommendations, it is apparent that effort and professional engagement are intricate to this profile.

Language

There have been no discernable grammar mistakes or odd turns of phrases in this profile. The language was carefully curated.

Overall, the profile is tidy, professional and gives valuable insight into skills and interests. It is functional and reflects industry knowledge and decorum. There is some room for improvement to make it stand out even more as outlined in my recommendations above. If you would like further clarifications, please contact me directly. Thank you.
