Nursing History Symposium 2013

The inaugural Nursing History Symposium was held November 21, 2013. Speakers included Dr. Geertje Boschma, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Nursing at UBC School of Nursing, Dr. Sonya Grypma, Professor and Dean of Trinity Western School of Nursing, and Dr. Laurie Meijer Drees, Co-Chair of the First Nations Studies Department at Vancouver Island University. The symposium attracted students, scholars, friends of the school, and various interested groups on campus. For the launch of the new Consortium, undergraduate and graduate students provided an engaging poster session on topics relevant to nursing and health history.
