LUX: Yale Collections Discovery is an ambitious digital discovery platform that aggregates Yale University’s cultural heritage and natural history collections. Using a Linked Open Usable Data (LOUD) Linked Art model and a backend knowledge graph structure, LUX centralizes the collection catalogs of Yale University Library, Yale Center for British Art, Yale Peabody Museum, and Yale University Art Gallery. 2016 – Book and Gallery Monitor, READ Books Shelved and organized books. Assisted customers with finding books. Acted as a docent for the gallery exhibitions. Facilitated book purchases. Created book displays and generated descriptions. Uploaded and managed inventory on internal database system. 2013 – Public Programs Assistant, Charles H. Scott Gallery (now the Libby Leshgold Gallery) at Emily Carr University of Art & Design Generated, edited, and distributed promotional materials for gallery exhibitions and public programming. Provided assistance for public events. Performed website updates and maintenance.
Summer 2020-Present – Dance Archivist for Karen Jamieson Dance (Co-op Work Experience) Assisted with metadata creation for 28 digital assets to be ingested into Arca. Spearheaded the implementation of Traditional Knowledge (TK) Labels for 7 items in collaboration with Indigenous creators (ongoing). Implemented archival storage for photographic materials from the KJD archives. Organized materials into 5 binders with descriptive information for access and preservation (ongoing).
