– Conduct analysis of an online course (MOOC)

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) present a broad spectrum of different forms of course designs, course structures, learning tools and learning activities delivered in online environment. Exploring these courses can help instructional designers to create new forms and features of digital instruction, implement the innovative designs and  technological solutions for learning.

We will be focusing only on a few key elements of the course design: a platform and its functionality, a course structure, learning activities, organization of the discussions, design of feedback and evaluation, instructors’ involvement.

Write a critical overview of a course design. Choose from the list of MOOCs, and follow  the key parameters. Contribute your overview to the Weeks 4-5 discussion (BbConnect).

– Formulate learning objectives and publish your course shell

To test your course accessibility and to develop your course objectives, for peer sharing and learning, publish URL of you course shell in the “Course Projects Collection” discussion. Consider what activities will organize the learning experience in your course, what  communication and assessment tools, graphic, media and navigation elements, you may want to use (make notes). Revisit the publishing guidelines, explore the learning objectives and course structure in your peers’ projects . Ask for a feedback and offer ideas. – Write a reflective summary and add it to your ePortfolio home page

Summarize your experiences of the Unit 2 activities and working collaboratively on the group Assignment#1, add a summary to your ePortfolio home page (with this you contribute to the Assignment #4).
