Instructional Communication

In this course, we will only be focusing on designing a communication unit in form of online discussion and its equivalents (collaborative writing, course blog, wiki page). You may use the discussion tools of your primary LMS (BbConnect, Moodle, Edge edX, or Eliadamy), or create a standalone instructional communication unit integrating it to your content site. Different types of online instructional activities, in which participants exchange signals and messages, can be used for instructional communication. See, for example, the table in which Tony Bates (2014) outlines various types of instructional communication and how these evolve with the growing implementation of technologies in education.
