Halloooo!
In an effort to be “creative”, I created my introduction using Prezi, only to realize that the UBC WordPress prevents code to be embeded. It is entirely possible that it is possible to embed code, and I am simply unable to figure it out! In the meantime, here is a link to my Prezi…
Link to Prezi is here.
Cheers,
Dana 🙂
I loved your prezi, very creative. Excited to get to know you and share with you in this class.

Thank you, Haneefa!
Dear Dana, I enjoyed learning about your hopes and dreams and favorite movies in addition to your background in physics and math. Looking forward to your contributions in the course, Welcome. Samia
Thank you, Samia! It is going to be a good course— I can feel it! ~Dana
Well isn’t this a coincidence. I did my Music Ed degree at U Vic and my teaching practicum was at Esquimalt High (6 years ago). I was Jenn Treble’s student teacher for Band, Choir, and English just as she was having her first child. My practicum actually overlapped her mat-leave and myself and another recent U Vic grad ended up covering it. Talk about student teaching trail by fire…. Perhaps the best learning experience/mentor I have ever had.
Hi Daniel, I have since talked to Jenn and she is super stoked to know you are doing well! ~Dana
Great prezi, Dana! I agree with you that taking any courses during the summer semester that involves the insanity of June is difficult! I love Victoria as I got to live there for four years during my undergrad…I would have loved to stay there :). Looking forward to a great course!
Allison
Dana,
Thanks so much for getting creative – yay! 🙂
I have been consistently completing two MET courses a year and I find the pace excellent. It allows me focus and ENJOY each course and to rejuvenate over the summer with my family. All the best this term!
Hi Jessica, I honestly thought I was the only one going at this snail’s pace! It is comforting to know that I am not the only one unable to do three or more courses per year. I had thought that the May session would be the optimal time for me to do a course, but what ended up happening was the opposite— it was the absolute worst! Google Hangouts during family camping trips, skipping end-of-year social events at school, throwing myself pity-parties…. not fun! #slowandsteady Cheers, Dana 🙂
