Welcome to Law School!

Hello Class of 2022!

Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to the Peter A. Allard School of Law! UBC has one of the best law schools in the country, and getting accepted is a HUGE accomplishment!

On this website, your Orientation Coordinators will be posting important information throughout the summer. We will post info about different clubs and societies at Allard, hopefully bios from your professors, and the Orientation Week Schedule once it is finalized. Please note, Orientation Week attendance is mandatory… but it will also be lots of fun! It’s 3 days full of social events, educational panels, informative sessions, and speakers from the legal community. You will have the opportunity to socialize with your new classmates, faculty and alumni of the law school, as well other valuable members of the legal community. O-week is not only where you begin your legal education, but where you will form and develop bonds and friendships that you will carry with into your legal career.

As the Orientation team works together to plan this incredible week, you will be kept up to date with all the information you need to know about Orientation Week and entering your first year of law school. You will receive important emails periodically, but additional information will be located at the here. In addition, make sure to join the Class of 2022 Facebook page to connect with your classmates and receive updates about upcoming events.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at orientation@allard.ubc.ca. We would love to hear from you! Similarly, if you would like to take a tour of Allard Hall or get in touch with a Student Ambassador (an upper-year law student) via email, you can do so through the Allard School of Law Ambassador page.

And finally take the time to enjoy your summer! Try not to worry or stress about preparing for law school (there is enough time stress once you are actually in law school).

Looking forward to meeting all of you soon,

-Kiera and Krystal
