Hello Class of 2022!
Welcome to the Peter A. Allard School of Law! My name is Eliza, and I am the President of Legal Education Outreach (LEO for short).
LEO is a club that aims to inspire high school students to pursue a legal education regardless of their individual social circumstances. Becoming a member is a great way to make an impact and make friends with students in different small groups and years.
What You Get to Do
Over term breaks, LEO members get to present legal education workshops at high schools across Greater Vancouver. These workshops are designed to expose students to legal thinking, with topics including the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, criminal law, and contract law. At the end of each workshop, Allard students discuss their own reasons for attending law school and take questions about post-secondary education.
Throughout the year, we also invite high school students to attend legal education workshops at Allard, where they are able to take a tour and meet with law students and professors.
How to Get Involved
Follow the LEO Facebook page to learn about upcoming events and feel free to send any questions you have to ubcleoexec@gmail.com.
See you on Clubs Day and at our Kickoff Meeting in September!
