Fair Trade, Sustainable Economic Development and the Law -IDLO

The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) is honored to extend this invitation to a special Roundtable Event on Fair Trade, Sustainable Economic Development and the Law. Law and policy experts will share recent developments and lessons learned in overcoming regulatory obstacles and implementing innovative legal practices for sustainable resources management, food security and fair trade, particularly low-carbon footprint labeled goods.

Discussions will draw on recent experiences supporting legal empowerment and access to new markets for communities in Ecuador and Kenya. The Roundtable will also launch a new documentary and outcomes of IDLO’s programming on Innovative Legal Practices for Fair and Sustainable Trade, and will shape the direction of future legal programs in this emerging field.
