Volunteer position descriptions:

1. Session coordinator

Session coordinators will be responsible for attending assigned conference sessions and taking notes, then uploading notes on the conference shared web space

2. Registration staff

Registration staff will be responsible for providing assistance to conference participants at the conference info desk. Tasks and responsibilities will include assisting with greeting and registration of attendees, handing out name tags and conference materials, and giving directions. Familiarity with UBC campus is as asset.

3. Technical support staff

Technical support staff will be responsible for assisting with A/V equipment: projectors, laptops, speakers, and SmartBoard (orientation training will be provided).

4. Logistics staff

Logistics staff will be responsible for a variety of background work vital to a smooth and successful conference. Tasks include preparing, printing, and distributing signs and posters, conference programs,and campus maps; meeting and directing catering staff, preparing conference spaces for sessions, and assisting conference organizers with any other logistics during the conference.
