Assignment # 1

I hope my question makes sense here …

I was wondering when is the good time to start working on Assignment # 1 , is it now? after module 2? after module 3? Will the assignment reflect on the material/discussions/acitivites of modules 2 & 3?

I did a quick search for the term “environmental analysis” in our blog but didn’t find references within the content of the modules mentioned above. This is why i got confused 🙁

Hi Ammar –

Thanks for the question about Assignment #1. It is due at the end of week 6 (to be precise, by midnight Pacific Time on Sunday, October 18th), so that there’s no reason you shouldn’t be thinking about it now. The content of Modules 2 and 3 will probably help you a lot with A1, so if you want to get started on A1 now you might simply review all of the materials for M2 and M3.

An Environmental Analysis refers to analyzing, as a group, a set of things that are closely related, such as a geographically-bound set of universities, or a group of companies offering the same set of products or services. In A1 you can focus your analysis on a single venture or some kind of marketplace environment.

Hi David
In trying to get my head around assignment 1 is it wide open as to which venture or marketplace environment we choose?
Is there a list of possible topics that we could use to stimulate our interest?
