Artist, founding member of Rangmanch Punjabi Theatre, and instructor at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology Raghavendra Rao K.V. developed the sets for the production with students at Srishti. In August 2013, students in one group read and analyzed the plays, interacted with the playwrights, and worked with Rao and UBC Professor Anne Murphy to develop plans for the scenes. After a similar study program with a second group of students in Srishti’s “Interim semester,” these plans were further developed and completed with a second group of students in November 2013.
