Jarnail Singh Artist

Jarnail Singh Artist has been active as a freelance artist for more than forty years. Born in India; he developed an interest in art in childhood, growing up in a household where art flourished. After a successful career in India, he emigrated to Canada In 2000.

Jarnail Singh’s work has been in many solo and group shows. His solo show, “Jarnail Singh – Discovering the Soul of Punjab,” took place at Surrey Art Gallery in 2004, and he was featured artist at the Harrison Arts Festival 2005 in Harrison Hot Springs, BC. His work has been included in the exhibitions “From Across the Oceans” at Langley Museum, “Punjabi Visions”, at Reach Gallery and Museum, Abbotsford, “From The Land of Five Rivers,” Surrey Art Gallery. He has had three shows of his “Komagatamaru Stories” series, at Surrey, Abbotsford, and Delta. Overall, his paintings have won many awards and are in important private and public collections all over the world. In 2008 the City of Surrey conferred a lifetime achievement award on him, recognizing me as a Surrey Civic Treasure.
