Dr. Gurvinder Singh

Dr. Gurvinder Singh is a prominent journalist and scholar. After completing his BA and Ma as a Gold Medalist at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, he completed his PhD at Punjab University Patiala in 2010 on the topic of one hundred years of Punjabi media in Canada (1910 to 2010).  He is the TV host of the show “Āwāz-e-Puṅjāb” – “Voice of Punjab” – which is on Channel Punjabi and Global Punjab, and is the ex-Editor-in-Chief of the International Punjabi Tribune weekly newspaper. He was awarded the Dhani Raom Chatrik Sahitak Sanmaan by Punjab Sath Lambra, and the Shiromani Punjabi Sahitak Patarkaar Award in 2010. He previously served as Principal of S.T. Memorial College Mandi, Ahmedgarh, Punjab and as a lecturer at DAV College, Jalandhar.
