Sukhpaul Dhaliwal

Sukhpaul grew up in Abbotsford and has been married since 1999. He has a daughter who is in her second year of her studies at UFV and a son who is in grade nine. Sukhpaul lives with his family in Langley. Sukhpaul’s family has been farming since 1974 in Abbotsford and he stays busy during the summer months harvesting blueberries. Sukhpaul started teaching in 2004 and started the Punjabi language program at Rick Hansen Secondary School. Most recently Sukhpaul started the Punjabi language program at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School and now the district has two high schools offering Punjabi 9-12. Sukhpaul also completed is Master of Education in 2009. He also taught first and second year Punjabi language courses at UFV for six years. Sukhpaul is also a passionate basketball coach at his high school and also coaches club basketball in the community.
