Inderjeet Sidhu is well known in the Punjabi literary communities of Canada, where she has played a pivotal role in organizing and developing Punjabi literary institutions, such as the Kendari Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Central Punjabi Writers’ Association) of the lower mainland; for example, she co-edited a collection of poetry for the Kendari Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Kalamāṅ dā Safar (Journey of Pens) with Mohan Gill in 2009. She has written several books of poetry and short stories, and has written an autobiography detailing her own literary journey. Works include the book of short stories Kaṅdh te Rishtā (Wall and Relationships), and collections of poetry entitled Tan-Man (Body and Mind) and Baṇvās toṅ Baṇvās tak (From Exile to Exile).
