So I got that tablet I was talking about! Squeeeeeeeee.

Of course, I opened it as soon as I came home, and tried it out as soon as I could. I’m pretty happy with it! It’s a little weird scribbling on the tablet while looking in a different direction, but I’ll get used to it.

I’m still waiting to download the included software (Photoshop, ermagerd), so I don’t have any fancy programs to scribble with. Therefore, my drawings won’t look the same was before, unfortunately 🙁

I ignored punctuation on purpose, I swear.

However, I am now more determined to blog more, with more pictures. Expect to see:

  1. A post about a disaster averted with the help of a friendly UBC staff member, and
  2. A post about what I was even doing at UBC in the first place (y’know, because no school and everything).

How to find places at UBC

So I’m going to a training session at UBC today (more on the session later), and it’s at UBC’s football field.

I’m going to massively (and possibly wrongly) generalize here, but I’d say the average student hasn’t gone out to Thunderbird Stadium (the football field). Part of the reason is that it’s far—too far for me to even know where it is.

Thus, I turned to the internet for help!

UBC has an online service called Wayfinding that makes finding things on campus simpler. There’s a search bar to enter the address/building name, or there are QuickLinks on the right-hand side that contain the more popular places on UBC (and by popular, I mean elusive).

Alternatively, you can just type “wayfinding” and “[the building/location]” into Google to bring up a map of UBC with an arrow pointing to your destination. Easy.

Off to the training session now!

Once again with feeling

Hello, blogosphere. Did you miss me?

Yeah, I missed you too.

Obviously, summer has made me less inclined to write posts. And you can’t blame me because look, it’s so clear outside right now. I don’t think Vancouver has had summer come so early before in my lifetime.

Anyways, I just wanted to update to let y’all know that yes, I’m still alive and kicking.

Also, congratulations to those of you that have just gotten accepted into UBC. This time last year, I had just gotten the acceptance package—and man, it felt good. So good that it derailed my focus on my then-upcoming statistics AP exam. Heh, heh. Time for some celebratory music!

Good job, all of you. Keep it up.

I’ll post soon again, I promise!
